Tarot Services Ethics

This page is to serve as an outline of A Dreaming Witch's Code of Ethics regarding performing Tarot services. Our Code of Ethics are as following (but not limited to):

Code of Ethics:

• The purpose of A Dreaming Witch’s Tarot readings are to empower the client, and provide guidance to aid them along their journeys. If you are seeking a purely predictive Tarot reading, you may wish to contact a different style of reader.
• A Dreaming Witch’s reader (Marie) will interpret the cards to the best of their ability, will conduct the reading with honesty and openness, and if they cannot interpret the cards clearly they will communicate that.
• A Dreaming Witch will keep everything a client says and everything that is revealed in a reading confidential, unless the situation is possibly life-threatening.
• A Dreaming Witch’s readings are non-judgmental, and we welcome clients of all cultures, religions, spiritual paths and sexual orientations.
• A Dreaming Witch will not perform a reading to see what someone other than the client is doing or feeling, nor will they perform a reading for anyone under 18 years old.
• A Dreaming Witch will strive to give clients positive direction and guidance, to uncover areas needing addressed, and to help them to find practical and empowering courses of action.
• A Dreaming Witch will not give advice in areas for which they are not qualified. If the client needs a physician, psychologist, lawyer, financial advisor, accountant, or any other professional service for which the reader is not qualified, they will encourage them to seek such service from someone who is qualified in that area.
• The intention when doing a reading is to serve the best interests of the client and all concerned without causing harm or wishing to deceive.
• A Dreaming Witch reserves the right to refuse to do a reading for a question that they feel they cannot answer, or one that goes against this Code of Ethics.

Legal Disclaimers: (required by PA law)

- Tarot readings are based on current energies and is subject to interpretation and should not be taken as absolute.
- All tarot readings given by A Dreaming Witch are for entertainment purposes only, and no guarantee of outcomes can be given.
- The contents of a tarot reading are not legally binding. Any decisions made, or actions taken by participants as a result of their reading are their sole responsibility.
- I do not offer readings regarding death, medical, pregnancy, or legal matters. I also suggest clients avoid yes/no questions for more in depth guidance.
